Disrupt Tesla

May, 2024. Protest actions at the Tesla Giga Factory, Grünheide Brandenburg.

Heavily criticised for inhumane labour conditions and an unsustainable supply chain, the Tesla Giga Factory also poses environmental risks in an area in which it should never have been built - a protected water area that supplies drinking water to the residents of the whole region.

Organised by @teslastoppen and @disrupt__now, over 2k activists, local residents and supporters gathered to demonstrate against the planned factory expansion, an expansion that would result in more deforestation and environmental degradation, not to mention more green-washed SUVs that the world doesn't need.

Ukraine - Berlin
Since Russia's destructive attack on Ukraine in February 2022, I have been documenting pro Ukrainian protests in Berlin.

Mountain Mother
A collaborative project with Catherine Rose Evans developed during DIEresidenz, an artist residency situated in southeastern France, and subsequently exhibited in Musée de Die et du Diois, France 2021.

“Coming from Berlin, Catherine Rose and Piotr focus on the geology, history and resources of the Diois' environment to present us with the results of their research in a contemporary language that is both minimal and poetic. With great sensitivity to the magic of things, they give their portrait to stones and bring Cybele into the exhibition, a Roman goddess who embodies wild nature and is also called "Mother of the Mountains".

According to legend, born from a black meteorite, Cybele was honoured in antiquity as one of the greatest goddesses of the Near East and was introduced to Die by the Romans in the 2nd century AD. Catherine Rose and Piotr search for her traces in contemporary Diois, both in the museum and in nature. During their research they found a spring, a meteorite and numerous coincidences that may have been directly caused by the "guardian of knowledge" - another name for the goddess.

Although Cybele is the gravitational centre of the exhibited works, they also tell personal stories, comparable to a diary. In the photographs we can see traces of the duo during their research, as well as their respective different artistic approaches.”

Women's Strike in Poland
Protests against the attempted abortion law in Poland. What started as a direct response towards
one of the strictest abortion laws in Europe has now transformed into a movement across the whole country against the conservative right-winged ruling party PiS and the influence of the catholic church in politics. The nature of these protests mark a paradigm shift in modern Polish history that will sustainably change the course for the future of the country.

CICHA WODA
Cicha Woda is a photo series that is guided by a search for ephemeral flashes in our fast-paced life. I am collecting images, which once combined, create their own narrative; a visual atlas of some sort of magic that is quietly moving just below the surface.

The title translates from Polish to Quiet Water, which is a saying that refers to the fact that silent, seemingly trivial things can have a large impact or effect. Visually it can also refer to various states of flowing: from shower gel in hands, to streams of unconsciousness that are barely audible through all the white noise of our busy lifestyles.

In a certain way I want to digest or detox myself from all the superficial junk we’re constantly bombarded with by a consumerist culture: all these fake promises of perfect worlds you can be a part of if you pay the necessary amount. Cicha Woda is what happens when I distance myself from all of this.
